Plastic pipe extrusion molding process and future trends

2022-08-01
The plastic pipe extrusion molding process is divided into three stages:

1. Raw material plasticization, that is, through the heating and mixing of the extruder, the solid raw material is turned into a uniform viscous fluid.

2. Forming, that is, under the action of the extrusion part of the extruder, the molten material continuously passes through the forming head at a certain pressure and speed, so as to obtain a certain cross-sectional shape.

3. Cooling and shaping, that is, through sizing and cooling treatment methods, the molten material will be fixed in the obtained shape and turned into a solid state (plastic pipe).

The above three stages are realized by the main engine and auxiliary machines, or extruder units. Specifically, the main machine is the extruder, and the auxiliary machine includes a head, a setting device, a cooling device, a traction device, a cutting device and a stacker.

The future market of new plastic extruders and production lines will develop in the direction of high technology content and lower prices. Domestic plastic extruders are now basically dominated by conical twin-screw extruders and single-screw extruders. The technology is more mature and the new high-end plastic extruders have the advantages of high efficiency and high output, which can allow investors to use relatively low prices. Larger output and higher returns are obtained from the investment, but the accuracy of auxiliary devices and control systems must be improved, and the wear of the screw and barrel requires the use of high wear-resistant and ultra-high wear-resistant materials. The reducer and bearing are in mature high-speed Increase its lifespan during operation.
